Bethany and Ryan’s Story

Did you see the story of Bethany and Ryan, first published on Snippet and Ink?  If you haven’t, beware reading it at work or at least have tissues nearby!

I noticed that The Today Show had tweeted their coverage of it (yes, I follow The Today Show on Twitter and Facebook, don’t you?!) so it’s not long until all of America learns about them.  It’s definitely worth heading over to both of those sites to check out their tragic and inspiring story.

Paper Source is all about nautical items right now and I want it ALL!

I have about 70 tote bags, but what’s one more? Especially one that rolls up.  I think I need this “Marina Roll-Up Bag.”

Are you lucky enough to have friends with a beach house to visit this summer? (Aren’t those the best kind of friends?) These personalized nautical note pads would make a great thank-you gift for your hosts.

I know Father’s Day is a few months away but you can always pick up a card to stow away for later – this one is really sweet.

Paper Source so helpfully puts all of their nautical items together here and keeps tempting me with multiple e-mails and mailers…so basically any day now I’ll be looking for an excuse to throw a party with these printable anchor invitations.  Watch your mailbox.

Lions, Tigers and Bears!

Do you ever look at those websites that have insanely cute pictures of animals doing insanely cute things? For some reason, my friends and I have been e-mailing them around and they certainly help break up a boring or stressful day.

I am also a sucker for animal-related kids stuff – like this print from Flutter Flutter by Rosa Pearson Design, via Paper Crave.

I love it! Is it wrong that I just want this in my house? Not sure my husband would go along with it…
Happy Friday, everyone! I am headed to my first baseball game of the season tonight and cannot wait for a hot dog and beer.  Have a good weekend!

I’ve been a delinquent blogger, again.  I’m sorry.  I am back to bring to you the following important announcement:

Yep, the time of warm weather and weddings is upon us and that means I start looking for sweet “congratulations cards.”   I’m not sure what made me head over to BHLDN’s site (You know, Anthropologie’s sister store that’s all about weddings) but I checked out their stationary selection and they’ve got a good selection of those “Will you be my bridesmaid/flower girl/life partner?” cards, should you need some.

I think this card from Mr. Boddington’s Studio is one of the best “Will You Be My Bridesmaid?” cards out there!

I also like this sweet and simple “Congrats” card from Rifle Paper Co.

Also, someone out there who is having a nautical wedding, PLEASE get this anchor ring pillow!

Warning: looking at BHLDN’s site for too long might make your teeth hurt, everything is just so. darn. sweet.  Just make sure to look in small doses!

I am off to New Orleans this weekend to go to the Final Four! I. am. pumped.  College basketball is my favorite sport and when your team makes it this far, it’s pretty exciting!

I am also excited to explore New Orleans – I’ve only been there once for a short trip so I am looking forward to doing all the touristy things like walking around the French Quarter and going to Cafe du Monde  (beignets!)

I love this picture by Terri Queen of 23twenty photography of blue doors in the French Quarter.  So much character everywhere you look there.

If you have any New Orleans recommendations, let me know!  And be sure to keep your fingers crossed for Kansas this weekend.  Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Pretty Easter Cards

, , , ,

I came across these pretty letterpress Easter cards and had to share.  Can you believe it’s almost April and almost Easter?  If you haven’t thought yet about sending an Easter card to someone, now’s the time.  Have you ever sent Easter cards?  I like sending them to family far away to say hello and celebrate the arrival of Spring!

I love the colors and the different egg designs on this card from Ink Meets Paper

Apparently I can’t resist the cuteness of “Hoppy Easter!”  Another sweet card from Duet Letterpress

Hope you’re having a great week!

Back from Vacation

, , ,

I’m back from vacation and slowly acclimating to not having someone bring me fruity drinks whenever I ask for them – I’m not gonna lie, it’s rough.

These postcards designed by The Lepolas and from the Keep Calm Gallery pretty much say it all:

I would love to have a seaside cottage with a pack of these postcards to send to friends at my leisure!

Alas, I must stop dreaming and face my awful inbox.  Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you survived St. Patrick’s day and that your brackets have survived the first part of March Madness (Go Jayhawks!)

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Just checking in to wish all of you a Happy St. Patrick’s Day this weekend! I am kind of bummed to be missing out on what is always one of the most fun celebrations of the year.  Who doesn’t like gathering with friends to wear bright green and drink Irish beer?  Have one (or two) for me on Saturday!

I love this sweet letterpress card by Kirtland House Press – might have to get one to save for next year!

Gone fishin’

, ,

Well, I don’t know if I’ll be fishing this week, but I’ll tell you what I will be doing – drinking fruity drinks on the beach while reading the 6 Peoples and US Weekly’s that I’ve stockpiled just for this trip.  That’s right, I’m off on vacation – my first real one since my honeymoon a year and a half ago or so.  I’m extremely excited to head out of town but will not have crackberry/internet service so I’m afraid I might start to experience withdrawal symptoms…I’m sure I’ll manage!

Spring is here!

Hello everyone, I’m baaaaack! I’m sorry for violating rule #1 of the blogger code – which is don’t leave people hanging day after day without any posts! I promise to get back into the swing of things because I have been gathering so many paper-y things to share with you!

For today, I just wanted to scream HELLO SPRING because it is 70-freakin’-degrees outside.  Not like we’ve really had much of a winter, but still, this weather is awesome.  (Except for what it brings with it – allergies.)  Who is ready for sunshine…

And Flowers…

And Cherry Blossoms?

Love this pretty Cherry Blossom wedding invitation by one of my faves, Bella Figura.  Perfect for a spring wedding in DC.

Hope you’re able to get outside for a few minutes today and enjoy this weather!
